Happy 6 Months

Grayson you are 6 Months Old and half way to turning 1!  Oh my I can't believe that you are already 6 Months Old.  The past 6 Months have been AMAZING!  Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

What have you been up to over the past month:
  • Biggest highlight is you are finally liking cereal and veggies.  It took some time for you to enjoy the cereal, veggies, bib, and highchair process, but now you love it!  The cereal has made you constipated so mommy gives you prunes(which is helping with constipation) and cereal in the morning and we have cereal and veggies at night.  You do not like cereal by itself so we give you a little bit of cereal with the veggies and you love it.
  • Over the past month you have given up breastfeeding.  Mommy still pumps and you have any where from 4-5 six ounce bottles a day.  Mommy is sad and I miss the bonding time that we shared when I did breastfeed you, but since you get bottles during the day you just would not breastfeed at night or in the morning any longer for mommy
  • You are wearing size 2 diapers
  • You are wearing size 3-6 month clothes
  • You just started wearing 6 month PJ's
  • You currently weigh 15 pounds 8 ounces (15.70% growth percentile)
  • You are 25 inches in length (7.33% growth percentile)
  • Head is 43.5cm (42.89% growth percentile)
  • You LOVE your Jumperoo and Exersaucer you could spend ours JUMPING!
  • You love watching cartoons
  • You have just started to notice Bella (our dog) and when you see her you smile and laugh.  It is so cute!
  • When you are laying on your back you are moving all over the place.  It is so cute seeing you dig your heels into the carpet and pushing yourself around the room.
  • You can rollover to your belly to your back and you have rolled over from your back to your belly twice.
  • You love to play with Mommy's hair
  • You love to give kisses, Mommy will ask you for a kiss and you give her kisses.  It just melts my heart!
  • You reach for everything in your eyesight.  If Mommy has her phone you want it.
  • You love when Mommy and Daddy read you books and you love when mommy sings you songs.  Your favorite song is Itsy Bitsy Spider.
  • At daycare you love when your teacher Miss Melissa sings Old McDonald Had A Farm she says you just laugh and laugh.  You also LOVE tummy time with all your friends.
  • You are still not sleeping that much at daycare.  We are lucky if you sleep 30-45 minutes during your time at daycare.  But your teachers tell me that you are a happy baby and play and smile at all your friends.
  • For your morning nap at home you struggle with staying asleep unless Mommy holds you, but for the past two days I have wrapped you in my jacket that I wear in the morning and you stay asleep and do not move at all.  Mommy thinks this is so funny because at night you have no problems sleeping.
  • You take all naps in your crib and you sleep in your crib all night long.
  • When you are extremely tired the only thing you want are your Mommy and your Daddy.  If anyone else tries to hold you all you do is cry!
  • You love to play with all your toys
  • You have almost mastered sitting by yourself
  • You seem to be teething a lot these days.  You always have your hands or a toy in your mouth.
  • You love bath time with Daddy and when you are getting ready for bed Daddy plays Somewhere Over the Rainbow and you just sit and talk and laugh with Daddy the entire time.  It is so sweet to hear the two of you play together.
  • You love your paci only for naps and bedtime.  The moment you fall asleep you spit it out!
  • You love looking in the mirror you just laugh and every morning after you get dressed for the day we play peek a boo.
  • We love you so much and look forward to seeing what changes you will make over the next 6 months.
Happy 6 Months (1/2 Birthday) to my Sweet Baby G!
