Gender Party Reveal

The party was amazing!  I wish all of you could have been with us.
So why did I do a Gender Reveal Party?  I had two reasons for having this party.  One was calling each friend to tell them what we were having would have taken some time and second was I have been waiting for two years for this pregnancy so I am trying to have fun at each stage of my pregnancy.  As much as I can't wait to see our baby BOY I am trying to absorb every day of my pregnancy and enjoy.  So if you didn't see my Blogging Friends Reveal Post go here!
Chad and I wanted to have a special way to share the news with our friends and family.  So that is where the shirts that you will see in the pictures come into place.  I was wearing It's A Girl and Chad was wearing It's A Boy and when one of us answered the door the person at the door thought that they knew until they saw the other.  It was so much fun!  I thought about decorating our home in the color BLUE for Boy, but than I thought well I don't want it to be that easy.  So with the help of my sweet friend Ashley we made the decorations that you will see in the pictures.

The evening started with everyone just chatting and enjoying appetizers and drinks.  During this time Chad and I asked each of our friends to vote for their favorite Baby Girl Name and Baby Boy Name.  We had our top 4 that we liked and than if  they wanted our friends could give their suggestion.  It will be great to read each of them and see what our friends think.  I also plan on seeing what all my blogging friends think too!  Speaking of names I have my FAVORITE boy name picked out I just need to finalize the name with Chad.
Finally the Big Reveal.  We started with getting Team Pink together and taking a picture.  As you can see Team Pink was the majority.
Than Team Blue got together with Chad to take a picture.  I wasn't sure if the boys in the photo thought that it was a Boy or if they didn't want to wear Pink.
Chad than told everyone that we were going to go change into the right shirts and when we came out they would know.
As you can see everyone was shocked!
It's A Boy!
Again I am ALREADY in Love with our Baby Boy!  I can't wait to start the nursery and continue to share our pregnancy journey with all my friends and family.

I missed my family and wish they could have been apart of this special day.  But they will be here for the baby shower.  In case you are wondering I am not having a nursery reveal party.  I did get asked last night.  This is it for parties until the baby shower!
To all of you reading, my friends, and family the road to get here has been long and if you haven't read our story you can go here to get caught up.  I feel truly blessed to have each of you in my life.
See you tomorrow for a Week 21 Post and a complete post on my appointment!

TOO cute of an idea!! I think it is just adorable =) I saw your blog on Kelly's Korner one day, and saved it to my favorites! I think I was just as excited about your IRL friends to find out what your baby was going to be...I just love stuff like that!!

O.k., you are probably going to think I am ca-razy, but I must ask...because I am planning a candy birthday party for my little girl (not until Septmeber, but you know us Mommies like to plan early!)...so what exactly were those candies in the jars? I know the blue were m&ms, but what was the pink crystal looking candy and the cute balls in the tall jar? Please let me know!! My e-mail is shannonwillcutt@yahoo.com

Thanks so much, and I look forward to following your journey =)

Congratulations on your pregnancy & baby boy news- it is so exciting! I found your blog through Kellys Korner and have been going through some of the same things you did so I started following your story. I was so excited to see how God blessed you and then to see what you were having! I wish you nothing but a happy and healthy pregnancy followed by a beautiful baby boy. Thanks for sharing with all of us! Congratulations & God Bless!

So I am reading Melissa and Chad's wonderful comments, but I am upset that a comment takes a shot at Chad and Melissa especially on the journey they have been through. Please don't leave comments like that. Both of them are beautiful people inside and out and don't deserve to have their lives belittled like that. Please respect them.

Congratulations on your baby boy news! We sat in a Tulsa specialist office 15 years ago this month hearing the news we would need to begin to accept that we would never have children. We all found it quite amazing that I took a positive pregnancy test a few weeks later. Even better news was finding out we were expecting twins!

God is good...all the time.

I stumbled on your blog some time ago and I read it often. I first starting reading during a time when you thought there would not be a baby for you and I was surprised and happy to learn that that would not be the case. This reveal party was absolutely the neatest thing EVER! I did not see the ugly comments as you had already deleted them. But I was appalled that anyone could think anything mean, ugly, hateful or hurtful in this time of great happiness for you. Please don't let this negative thinker effect you in any way! Continue to enjoy this time in life and look forward with joy to the days ahead. This is the best days of your life, enjoy them to the fullest! Praying for a healthy baby BOY for you!
