Mommy Moments

As a mommy I always find that I am behind the camera capturing moments of Grayson.  I need to take the time to step in front of the camera and capture moments with Grayson and I together.

It was nice to see this tender moment that my sister captured for me with my Grayson.

I am going to start challenging myself to step out from behind the camera and take pictures of Grayson and I together.  Along with capturing more special moments with Chad and Grayson.  Because truly their are sweet and special moments that they share together each day.  I will forever have those moments in my mind, but would love to have them on paper or my blog.

Will you join me in this challenge?
{If you do I would love to hear from you}
I have decided that at least once a week I will do a blog post for our memories that will include a picture with me and or Chad.  I don't ever want to forget the special moments that we share as a family together.
Let's start capturing these moments TODAY!

You never know how important that is until one or the other is gone. My mother passed away in 2008 and was always the one taking pictures. So, the pictures I DO have of her, I CHERISH!! As I was going through pictures, it made me realize how I needed to be more in front of the camera with both of my kids (age 13 and 20 months) so they can look back on these moments one day too!

I realized too the lack of pictures I have of me with my spouse! I guess because it's either him or I taking pictures so we don't stop to take them together. You might want to add that to your weekly list too!

Sounds great to me :D I just need to figure out how the heck to do my timer on the new camera! The lens is way too big to do a pic of us like I could do with my old camera! This post is soooooo true, I will try to join ya and step in front of the camera with my baby boy too!

Such a great idea - it is so true! I think I have about 15 pictures with Kallen & I (and have about a thousand more of just her). I want to have those to look back on!

Love the photo your sister took - so heartwarming & sweet!!

I am with you, Melissa!! I have so many pictures of my baby girl. I even have quite a few of her with her daddy, but very few of her and me. I need to start getting in front of the camera more often too. I can't wait to see more pics of you and your sweet little boy!

xoxo,
Amy

I have to agree completely. I have a ton of pictures of Bryce and Bryce with Sam, but I don't have as many with me since I am the main photographer.

I am taking the challenge and am going to capture those special moments, all of them!

Happy Easter and hopefully you can stay dry:)

Hi, I could not agree more. I am always the one with the camera, never missing a chance to take a picture, however I am never in any of them with my grandchildren or even looking back with my children. I will have tons of them but they will not have many with me in them. I never liked to have my picture taken so I always thought if I had the camera I would not be in them. My dad died 3 years ago and when we did a memorial collage I realized I was not in alot of the pictures with him. Such a good idea to start doing it now.

Great Melissa, and how special are those pictures of you and G, they're so sweet. It's hard when you're always taking the pictures, but you're right, it's so nice to capture the moments w you in them too. If only it were as easy to do a self portrait w the big camera as w the point & shoot.
