On the move!

Grayson is a busy boy!  I put him in the living room with toys and went into our room to change out of my day clothes and when I came back into the living room he had crawled to the front door.  That boy is fast! 

No more leaving him in one spot because now he won't stay there...



Tube Surgery Update:  Grayson and I went to his ENT appointment today and everything looks great in his ears and the tubes are draining properly as it appears that he does have an ear infection in his left ear and in his right ear Dr. B cleaned out the wax build up (which was not fun to hold Grayson down so they could get in his ear) today in order to make sure the tube was in his ear.  Dr. B was happy with how everything looked and we don't have to go back until September 2011.  So glad to hear this news today!  What a blessing!

Our pastor shared this video with us yesterday during service and it was AMAZING, MOVING, and BROUGHT TEARS to MY EYES as well as MANY OTHER people at church. 

I wanted to share it with all of you!

Grayson also went to the church nursery for the 1st time yesterday and he did great!  It helped that Ashley's mom Susan was in his room so he was familiar with her.  So glad that on his first day he was able to spend it with Susan.  I hope he continues to enjoy the church nursery and I can get back to focusing on the word of God and get the ENTIRE message at each service.

On the move and clapping!

I love this stage of crawling, clapping, and waving it is ALL so cute to watch! 

Here is Grayson crawling in our living room and the first time I was able to get it on video.  I am in the kitchen because if he sees me he will stop...

I also have a few videos of Grayson clapping.  He loves to clap when he is eating.  In the first video he is a mess because he is eating a Nutra Grain Bar for breakfast which he loves by the way.  My favorite part of the video is when I ask him to clap he starts to clap! 

Proud Mommy Moment and Recipe

As I mentioned yesterday Grayson is in the local Peekaboo Magazine and I am one proud mommy so I thought that I would share it with all that cannot see it. 

If you like Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies you will love this recipe!

Walmart has limited edition Dark Chocolate and Mint Baking Chips and so this week I picked them up and the recipe on the back is AWESOME!  I made the cookies on Monday night for some friends and they taste just like Thin Mint Cookies.

I also think you could make the recipe and add Toffee Chips or Peanut Butter Chips instead of the Mint Chips in case you don't like mint flavored cookies.  

Here is the recipe:

Mint Chocolate Delights

2 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cup Nestle Toll House Baking Cocoa

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. sea salt

2 sticks of butter

2/3 cup of sugar

2/3 cup of brown sugar

1 tsp of vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1 2/3 cups (10oz package) Nestle Toll House Dark Chocolate & Mint Morsels

 

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

 

Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by well-rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and centers are set. Cool on baking sheets for 2 mins; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

I know it is March 3rd, 2011 and I am now just completing all of the Joy of Love Posts and for this post I thought that I would do a complete recap of the final days of February 2011. 

I really enjoyed doing these posts in February and look forward to thinking of different ways to take pictures each day of Grayson.
