Week 8 and Friends

Grayson is 8 weeks old as of yesterday!

Wow I can't believe he is already 8 weeks old.  Before I know it he will be having his first birthday party.  I just love my little guy to pieces.  We are enjoying every moment together even though I am back to working full time.  It is fun to see his personality develop every day!  He is smiling more and is so alert.  I love his BIG blue eyes and could stare at them all day long.  He is starting to make cooing sounds when I talk to him.  It is so cute.  I am hoping to get a video of it soon!  I will have more updates on his two month birthday this Saturday!  For now I will leave you with a few photos of Grayson.

Yesterday Grayson and I also had a lunch date with a great group of girls!  We also got to meet a Blog Friend Susy she was so sweet and we enjoyed spending a few moments with her.  Grayson was tired during lunch and finally fell alseep as soon as our lunch arrived at the table.  I knew if I put him down in his car seat he would wake up so I just held him.  It was a great lunch date and we look forward to the next lunch date with these girls.

1st Road Trip

Grayson's first road trip

Where did we go? 

We went to the Ramsey's house in Bee Branch, Arkansas

Grayson did great!  He only got upset when he wanted to fall asleep he wanted me to hold him.  But I was able to get him to fall alseep in his carseat!  That trip was 3 hours and in two weeks we are driving 9 hours to Amie's house.  I hope it goes well!

We were able to relax, sleep, and eat home cooked meals on our mini trip all while Grayson was spoiled the entire weekend.  We also managed to get a few games of Phase 10 in.

Grayson's First Smile! 

Grayson started smiling at the beginning of Week 6 (which was last week).  It is so great to see his smiles each and every day.  I love how we both can make him smile.  In fact he smiled for the 1st time with Daddy.  It melted my heart to see his first smile.

Sisters and Birth Annoucement

You may or may not know but I have a twin sister.  Why am I blogging about this today?  Well I tweeted about it on Twitter a few days ago and many people had no idea I had a twin sister.  In fact I am 1 of 4 girls in my family.  Here is a picture of all of us:

4th of July

I was planning on doing this post yesterday, but Grayson had different plans for me.  We had a tough day yesterday.  He just didn't get any good naps and was fussy on and off all day.  Poor little guy!  He is still gassy and it is upsetting to see him so uncomfortable.  Today we are having a MUCH BETTER DAY! 

We had a great 4th of July Weekend.  We spent time at the Jolliff's Lake Home on Saturday.  I love being at their home, I always feel like I am on vacation.  It is so peaceful!  They have a screened in porch that I love to go to and sit and rock in their rocking chairs.  The best part is the VIEW!  The Jolliff's had a HUGE party with Family and Friends, the food and desserts were AMAZING!  We didn't end of staying for the firework show as Grayson was not HAPPY.  He did not like the noise so we headed home! 

For the 4th of July we went to church and they had a 4th of July Celebration during service and it was AWESOME.  I love all the music and the sermon spoke to my heart in some many ways.  I will blog about that at a later date.  Grayson and I have yet to make it through the entire service before we have to end up going to the quite room.  So blessed that our church has a quite room so I can finish watching the service.  Later that evening we went to Fireworks at the Crosses and it was a beautiful show.  Grayson slept through the entire event!  Thanks to our friend Kim who got him asleep and held him the entire time. 

We are blessed with some great friends and family that love to hold him and help out whenever we need support.  In fact our good friend Tiffany loves holding Grayson.  Every time she sees Grayson she has him in her arms ASAP.  See...
