do you want to know what I love about this picture?
The simple actions of looking at your reflection and my 8 month old baby has found his reflection. It was too cute watching him look in the window at himself. It is the simple things in life that seem to excite little ones.
I hope that this year I can stop and reflect on the simple things in life and be amazed just like my baby G.
I am so tired of Grayson not feeling well. It seems as if he has not felt well since he had that fever virus at the beginning of 2011. He has a horrible cough and when we were at the pediatrician's office on Thursday he said his chest was clear, but it seems that every night he has a horrible time sleeping. His cough wakes him up and it makes him so MAD! I think I am going to call again tomorrow and talk to them about his cough. There has to be something that Grayson can take to help with this cough. I just want baby to feel better :)
this picture is of Grayson today after church sitting in a high chair while we have a quick lunch. He is such a BIG boy!
He has his paci because this is all that was making him happy.
Grayson was so cute during dinner tonight. He is such a mess! Look at this face:
plus a cute video of Grayson telling us stories...
It was a busy day for Grayson we had his 8 Month Pictures and a Birthday Party at Little Gym to go too. He was a happy boy for the photo session and he was really interested in the grass and everything that was on the ground. Jenny did great and I can't wait to see the photos from this session because we brought Bella with us to get a family picture. I hope at least one picture turned out. It is hard to get a dog and a baby at the same time to look at the camera.
Here is Grayson just before we left the location where we took pictures today. He was so sweet in this picture.
Later that afternoon we headed to Little Gym for a birthday party. I can't wait until Grayson can run around and play with all his friends. He did enjoy playing on the mats and a big circle mat too.

It was a great party and the busy day wore Grayson out he has been sleeping since 6PM.
What a beautiful today here in NWA. Currently it is 63 degrees in Bentonville. I love it and I wish it would stay this way for awhile :)
On this Friday Grayson and I started our day with spending time with Katie from Peek-a-Boo Image Photography and had Grayson's 1st Valentine's Photo Shoot. It was quick (which I love) and we already love our sneak peak.
Katie does great work and I am excited to see the rest of Grayson's images. She is doing a special for Valentine's Day and you might check with her to see if she still has spots available. You won't be disappointed.

doesn't baby G look so sad? Well he is sad because he has another double ear infection. We are again on antibiotics and I hope he feels better soon. I hate ear infections...
Grayson's Pediatrician likes to wait until they have had five ear infections before he does tubes.
We pray that he gets rest and is a happy boy tomorrow. He is having Valentine's Day Pictures tomorrow morning and we have lunch plans with a fun group of girls and their babies. I just got his V-Day onesie in the mail and it is ADORABLE! I can't wait to see the pictures. Have a great night!
As we sit and wait for daddy to get home we watch many cars drive by and sometimes we see a dog or even kids playing. This is your new favorite place to sit. You can sit there and look outside forever!

It makes me think of the world ahead of you. It is yours to explore and reach for the stars and chase your dreams.
First thanks for all your kind comments on my last post. Good news is Grayson only got up once last night at 3AM for a bottle and I feel so much better.
I am combining our Day 24 and Day 25 Frame a Day into one post today.
The weather was warmer yesterday afternoon and the sun light was beautiful in our backyard and it was a perfect moment to capture a picture of Grayson
(24/365 Project)
today before going to school we took a few pictures in Grayson playroom and I just loved what he was wearing today. I usually dress Grayson in comfy clothes when he goes to school. Yes we are starting to wear our V-Day outfits that way we get a few wears out of them. I love the holidays.
(25/365 Project)
I have also decided that with all the pictures from the 365 Project that I am going to make a shutterfly book and hopefully I can keep it up year after year. I think it would be neat to give Grayson all the books I have created when he gets married or earlier for his memories.
I really wasn't looking forward to it being Monday today. Grayson did not sleep well at all last night. I don't know what to do with this baby that doesn't want to sleep through the night. He instead wants to eat three times during the night. I feel like I have a newborn again... Grayson sleeps best from 5 or 6 AM until 9 - 10 AM. He also is not a fan of eating during the day... at least that is what he did all last week at school and through the weekend. I am just hoping that today at school he had a better day and drank his bottles because getting up every three hours to eat is wearing me out at night. I feel since Grayson was sick with the fever virus a few weeks ago that he has his days and nights mixed up. What to do? So getting up and out of the house today on this Monday was difficult.
With that said here are a few pictures I took this weekend of Grayson that I love in Black and White.

I am proud that I am doing so well with the frame a day and I just hope I can keep it up. Now if I can just do the same thing with the 30 day Shred I would be doing AWESOME!
Speaking of the Shred is anyone else doing this workout? If so let me know maybe we can hold each other accountable. It is worth a try...
Sorry for the rambling on this Monday, but I am tired and just really wanted to share the pictures of Grayson. He changes every day and his hair is growing so much. I love it!
Who is watching the Bachelor tonight? I got sucked in the first week (after telling myself I was not going to watch it). Oh well! Brad seems to have changed so I am going to give forgive him for the mistake and hearts he broke... for now.
I think it is funny how at this age everything goes in Grayson's mouth... doesn't matter what it is...
I heard about the Cupid's Coupons one night when I was watching our local new station and if you live in NWA you should check it out! Great deals at half the price!
I am really not one to do DIY Projects, but the past few months I did two DIY Projects that I thought I would share with you.
The first project I got this idea from a blog I love to read. She is always doing some great projects for her home and I loved this Chalkboard Frame Project she shared on her blog. I ended up giving these frames as Christmas gifts. It is super easy and if I can do it so can you.
You can get all the directions etc by clicking here
The second project is something that I remember doing with my Mom and sisters when I was younger and it is VERY easy to do. It is a Fleece Tie Blanket. Grayson has two of these blankets one from his Grandma Shelly and one from Auntie JJ. I love how soft and snugly these blankets. So I decided that I would make one of these blankets for a birthday gift for someone that loves Minnie Mouse.
here are the two blankets that Grayson has:
I bought the fabric at a local fabric store called Hancock Fabrics. I actually went to Hobby Lobby first, but they did not have fleece at our store. If you are making a small blanket for a child you only need to purchase 2 yards of two different fabrics. If you decide to make an adult size blanket just buy 4 yards of two different fabrics. The first step after picking and purchasing your fabric is laying the two fabrics down one on top of the other and making a perfect square. This might mean that you have to cut some of the fabric. After you finish making a perfect square next cut a smaller square on each corner of the blanket. Go to 2 inches up and 2 inches over to make the square and do this on all four sides of the blanket. Once complete with the smaller squares you will cut small strips in the blanket along all four sides of the blanket. It will look like this before you tie them together:
on the far left of the picture you will see the strips and on the right side of the picture you will see where I tied the two fabrics together (double knot). If you have any questions let me know.
this is how pictures started, it is getting difficult to do these monthly pictures in Grayson's chair. We might have to get daddy's help next time.
How can it be that today Grayson you are 8 months old...
we love you to the moon and back...
It seems you are changing and doing new things every day. The biggest new thing that you have learned is moving backwards on your belly or backwards crawling. You haven't mastered the moving forward.
You like to pull yourself up on your toy bins, toys, and when I sit you in our bar stools you like to pull up and look over the side of it...usually looking for Bella.
You put EVERYTHING in your mouth...
You spit and blow bubbles all the time. It is cute, but when you are eating and you spit out your food that is not cute!
You are saying Dada and Mama and all sorts of different sounds when you are playing with your toys, playing in your crib in morning and after naps, and in the car when we are driving around.
You are splashing and playing with toys during bath time and you love it! You CRY and get MAD when we take you out!
You are picking up toys out of your toy bins and playing with them...mommy thinks it is so cute watching you with your toys. You have such a curious mind.
You LOVE watching TV. When you are in your jumperoo I turn on the TV and you just stare at it and laugh.
You NOW have two teeth
You do not like socks on the minute I put them on you, you pull them off.
You went to the doctor a lot this past month for two ear infections, you had a fever virus, and you got your final round of the flu shot.
You still get up at least two times during the night.
You are eating baby food like a CHAMP! You LOVE veggies and as for fruit you like it, but prefer to eat veggies. In fact if mommy or daddy are eating you think you need to eat.
You are still drinking breastmilk, but last week mommy started giving you formula during one feeding a day because my supply is dropping, but I am happy that we were able to make it this long on breastmilk.
You love to drink from water bottles, every time mommy or daddy have a water bottle in our hands you want it and you want a drink too.
I think you weigh at least 17 pounds or more. You are getting heavy to carry around. Especially when I have to bounce you to go to sleep.
You are wearing size three diaper, size 6-9 month jeans and pants because of the length (size 3-6 months are too short), size 3-6 month tops and one pieces, but I also put you in size 6-9 month too.
You wear size 6 month PJ's
You still are not a GREAT napper at daycare, but your teachers are great and they continue to work with you. I am just glad that you are a happy baby and love playing. You get SO excited when we are walking into school.
It was a month full of holidays and he enjoyed spending our 1st Christmas together at home and New Year's Eve and Day too. It was great to see you with all the gifts and you loved the paper and bows the most!
We had our first snow fall this past week, but you were not feeling well and mommy didn't want you to get sick again so we stayed inside where it was warm. I am sure that there will be another snow fall this year.
You love giving kisses and you recognize who your mommy and daddy are instantly. It melts my heart that you reach for me and know that I am your MOMMY!
Grayson one of my favorite parts of our day together is going into your nursery in the morning or after a nap and you smile real BIG and wiggle around with excitement because you see me. I love it!
