Why do you Blog?

Why do you Blog? I blog for many reasons. At first I blogged for my family to be able to feel close to us and see what we are doing. And yes I still do this for my family, but I do have obstacles in life just as everyone else does and my obstacle at this current moment is infertility. So I do blog about our journey through infertility. We have been on this journey for 2 years and let me tell you it is not fun! I only can say that the one positive thing about infertility is that I am a stronger person. I still have moments of weakness, but I seem to get through those days with the help of PRAYING, MY HUSBAND, MY FAMILY, AND FRIENDS. If you are walking in the shoes of infertility I know how you are feeling and TWO things that have benefited me greatly this year are ONE this blog and TWO prayer and leaning on god's word. Without these two things I truly think that I would not continue on the path of trying to have a baby. I would give up as it is TOO difficult and PAINFUL! In case you are wondering we are still working on becoming parents we are just taking a break for the summer and really trying to enjoy life and what happens...happens. I also blog about Fashion, Decorating, Baking, and my FAVORITE subject MY FAMILY. I love my family and the special moments I have with each of them. One special moment I had a few weeks ago was a photo shoot with my family in Montana. It was great fun and is a memory I will never forget. I strongly believe that pictures are a lifetime of memories for my entire family to cherish. I am really blessed and happy that we were able to do this photo shoot in Montana. I especially feel this way now that I have recently loss my Grandpa Faraway. Pictures are a great way to look back at all the special moments I had with him and allow me to celebrate his life. So if I can tell anyone out there don't forget pictures are PRICELESS and you will always treasure all photos in your life...so go out there and take more pictures!
Here are a few memorable photos from our photo shoot in Montana.
If you have followed my blog for awhile you will also know that I love decorating and I love my home it is decorated just the way I want. My husband and I added this final touch to our Master Bedroom this past weekend...what do you think?
I also blog about our Sweet Bella and I just had to show you this photo. Bella relaxes with me every morning while I get ready for the day and I just loved this photo.
So why do you blog? I would love for everyone to leave me a comment and tell me why you blog so I can stop by your blog this week. Have a great week!

I started out blogging to keep our family in the loop about things happening in our lives. I just recently started blogging about infertility too. I debated about whether or not to start a new blog about just infertility, but decided not to and keep just one blog. Infertility is our life right now and I shouldn't separate it under a new blog.

Through my faith in my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I have been strengthen as we continue on this journey to start our family.

I LOVE your reasons for blogging!! Since you already know my reasons, I won't write about them here. However, I will tell you that I love the things you choose to blog about and I truly LOVE your Montana pics! I meant to comment about them on your FB page, but just realized I never did. Therefore, I'm doing it here! :) They are incredible and so beautiful. I have a huge passion for pictures, as well...so I can totally relate.

I just know we would get along so well!! Wish we lived closer. :)

Anyway, I'm still praying for you and Chad. I just know that you will both make amazing parents.

Hugs

Hi! I found your blog on Kelly's Korner. I just wanted to encourage you about your infertility. My husband and I tried for eight years to have a baby. It was a very hard time of our marriage but we learned so much about each other and are truly deep in our faith and each other. I don't think for any reason it will take you that long but please don't give up!! Just remember our ways are not His ways. Six months ago God dropped an angel in our home, we adopted a precious little girl. Stay strong! I know what you are going threw and will be praying for you!

I also spent a long time blogging to journal my infertility and after 4 years, I have a beautiful baby girl to fill my blog. Your time will come and you'll look back and see all that God was doing for and through you.

I blog to document my life. It is basically my journal and a great way to express myself and what is going on in my life at the time. I hope in a few years I will be able to look back at it and be proud of the person that I have become.

Your blog is wonderful and I always love reading the new posts. Praying for your dream of becoming a parent every day.

Blog love!
Katie

1. You have a beautiful dog! Bella looks like such a pleasure to be with every day.
2. I love the saying you put in your bedroom! My house is so lackluster and bare, I would love to find something like that, that would be fitting for my husband and I!
3. I blog for so many reasons. It started out as a blog to follow my journey through pregnancy and has morphed into a blog where I talk about everything. Adventures we have, milestones of my son, accomplishments in the family. Its a great outlet and something I hope I can keep up for at least the foreseeable future, so my children and grandchildren will have all these memories right at their fingertips.

I blog for those same exact reasons! Mainly for family because we have so many that live far away and can't see what I am up to! Now they can! ;)

Great post! I pray for you DAILY, and know that God is good and has a plan for you and Chad.

PS- LOVE the touch to the master bedroom- is that Hobby Lobby? I have one from there on my wall but never have seen the blue- BEAUTIFUL! ;)

PSS- love Bella, too cute!

Melissa,

Thank you for your post tonight! I literally just made my blog tonight! You really re-confirmed my urge to attempt this. I'm hoping to write my first post soon, but the "About me" and a couple cutesy things are done. And I also paid a deposit and am on a 3 week waiting list for "sweet cheeky designs" to make me a beautiful blog design!

To respond to your post tonight...I want to capture and record the most important years of my husbands and my life and update our family on our lives with pictures and memories. We want to buy our first home and try to get pregnant all in the next few months so I think now is as good a time as any! Thank you for your inspiration and I hope my blog will be as beautiful and honest as yours =)

ps...I love the wall vinyl!

I love your blog too.
I blog for several reasons. About my family, my fitness and my work with bereaved parents. Since I started blogging I've no got three of them!!!
One is my personal blog, one is a beautiful one I run with my brother who is a professional photographer, where we honor the names of little ones who've passed away too soon, and I run 'Whispered Support" with my friend Carly who also runs "Names in the Sand."
The journey you are on is hard (I know this from personal experience) and I am glad you have support xxxx

I think this quote pretty much sums up why I blog:
“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospection” ~Anais Nin I have always LOVED to write but have been absolutely horrible at keeping a journal. I decided to give the blogging world a shot and love it!

I blog to keep track of the little things in life. Things that I know I won't remember doing 20 years from now. I hope to be able to share my blog with my kids one day so they can see what their crazy parents were up to when they were in their 20's. My blog serves multiple purposes; as a journal, as a scrapbook, and to keep family in the loop with what's going on in our life.

Great reasons for blogging...all similar to mine, and I love it!

I blog because I hate to scrapbook and I want to remember random things and funny stories that I will most certainly forget. Also, this is the first time that I don't live near my parents and they like to check in this way.

I also used to have 20 plus friends that blogged from our small group and a lot of them have all dropped off the blogging wagon. They are going to be sorry! :)

I love your family pics and your bedroom looks great. I love your taste, Melissa!

Hi Melissa! I found your blog on Lianna Knight's. I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and your husband. I originally started blogging when I found out I was pregnant with twins, but I wish I would have used it as therapy for me as well. My husband and I too struggled with infertility for 3 years and it was the toughest journey we have ever faced. We now have a set of 5 month old twins and they were so worth the tears and heartache. God has such a wonderful plan for you and I know that it gets old to hear that sometimes and at times, it may not make you feel better, but it is so true. I will keep you and your husband in my special prayer that I pray everyday for women who are struggling just as Sean and I did. I also want you know that I am praying for your precious nephew Drew and his family. I cannot imagine what your sister is going through and I will pray for her strength during this time.

On a lighter note....I love your decorating taste. I love to decorate, but just can never seem to be 100% pleased with it when I am finished. UGH! Would love to see more of your beautiful home!

Love the quote... Where did you get it from? There are a few places around here to get them, but I am always looking for good ones!

42 is a domino game and it is SO. MUCH. FUN. But it's one of those things that's incredibly hard to explain. Here is a website that explains the rules: http://www.texas42.net/42home.html

If you like cards, have you tried Rook? That's a blast! It's our favorite card game for sure. 42 is basically a dominos version of Rook.
